Terminal based tools provide real-time information about system resources such as CPU usage, memory usage, disk I/O, and network activity. The three most commonly used terminal-based monitoring tools are atop, htop, and top.

This post on performance benchmark of greencloud vps storage server was originally published in December 2021. Back then, following black Friday deal in 2021, I had taken a three-year subscription for Greencloud VPS in Singapore. An offer was posted by them on Low and talk. I had run bench.monster script back, then, in 2024 I ran YABS – Yet Another Benchmarking Script on this server. My aim was to test to see if there was any change in the performance of this particular server over time.
