How to use AI chat tools as interior designer ? In this post, we will take a look at generative AI tools that create images for interior design of a home. At that time, I was finalizing the draft of my book “An Eye for AI: How to generate awesome images using AI tools“. Using chatGPT for interior design was a great use case for AI tools.
Prompts and suggestions galore!
There are several ai chat tools in the market as of mid-2023, and there are even greater options in the generative AI space. As a first step, I used chatGPT to generate prompts for home interior designs. In a couple of hours one afternoon in March 2023, I was able to get some great inputs as well as images rendered. It all began with the below message:
I want you to act as an interior decorator. Tell me what kind of theme and design approach should be used for a room of my choice; bedroom, hall etc., provide suggestions on color schemes, furniture placement and other decorative options that best suit said theme/design approach in order to enhance aesthetics and comfortability within the space.
