Why did I write this Server Management Panel Series?

Like many things in life, this post series happened by accident.

In 2019, I reviewed a couple of server panels (VPSNoobs, Tinycp, DirectAdmin…) and the list expanded in no time. In February 2024, I decided to do a complete overhaul of my blog, this included a content refresh of some of the most interesting and useful posts. This resulted the decision to bring these posts under a single umbrella.

Note that for purposes of this series, I will use server control panel, server management panel and web hosting control panel interchangeably.

Overview of this blog post

So, what is this series all about? Well, let me break it down for you.

Firstly, let’s talk about the mega post on server management panels. In this post, I have covered everything you need to know about server management panels – from what they are, their benefits, and the different types available in the market. I have also shared my personal experience with using various server management panels and my top recommendations for beginners and advanced users alike.

Moving on to the smaller posts on graphical server panels, I have focused on some of the most popular panels such as using open source web hosting control panels- Ajenti, HestiaCP. I have discussed their features, pricing, and ease of use, giving you a better understanding of which web based server configuration panel would suit your needs the best.

Lastly, I have delved into the world of command line setup for WordPress using Webinoly. Command line or terminal-based server management can be intimidating for some, but it can also be incredibly powerful and efficient. In these four or five blog posts, I have provided detailed step-by-step guides on how to set up and manage WordPress using these tools, making it easier for even non-technical users to follow along.

Takeaways and Way Forward

I believe that this series of blog posts will be beneficial for anyone looking to improve their website’s performance and take control of their server management. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced user, there is something for everyone in this series.
