Amar describes himself as a husband, creator, and a sustainability professional. Prime Minister Modi ji in his Mann Ki Baat program in Sept 2020 mentioned Amar’s startup gaathastory as an example of children’s storytelling shows. gaathastory produces podcasts for kids and families in multiple Indian languages.

He is a hands on professional with experience in program management, Sustainable Business Practices, and Digital and Business to Business marketing. Excellent Communicator with a track record of bringing out the best in team members while delivering successful projects on time and within budget.

Experience in defining Long and Short Term Strategy, delivering Multi-Million dollar construction projects, Building and Managing Teams spanning multiple geographies and business units. Alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He was previously the Country manager for Forest Steward Council, and has worked with amazon, JLL and Schiender Electric. In his spare time, Amar likes exploring offbeat places.

For his startup gaathastory, Amar has also translated and re-written over 200 fairytales and children’s stories, some of which are likely to get published in the future.

He has been blogging since 2013, when he started writing about his journey as an author on a wordpress blog. His writing exploits include Corporate blogs, and Technology reviews as a guest blogger and his own blog at

Amar is the creator and host of MyKitaab: How to Publish and Market Your Books, and Why Businesses Fail. At gaathastory, he created children’s storytelling shows including Devgatha, Baalgatha, Veergatha and Fairytales of India. Amar has appeared as on several podcast interviews, including the Learning India Podcast, The India Startup Show.
